Terms & privacy / Revision 01

Terms of Service

The terms for ScopeMason subscriptions, company accounts, customer quote sessions, photo upsells, and managed email follow-up.

Accepting these terms

By creating a ScopeMason account, administering a company, using a trade company's quote link, or otherwise accessing the service, you agree to these terms. If you act for a company or other organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind it.

If you do not agree, do not use ScopeMason.

The service

ScopeMason provides company-branded quote intake and quote-moment sales assistance. A customer may describe work, answer adaptive questions, submit guided jobsite photos, provide typed or map-based measurements, review the collected scope, and receive an exact quote, deterministic price range, send-to-company result, needs-an-on-site-look result, or out-of-scope result. For companies with billing access, ScopeMason may also identify company-approved optional work visible in those photos, operate a managed email follow-up conversation, and surface actions and company-confirmed outcomes in the Sales Desk.

ScopeMason reads price books and services approved by the company. Mason may infer trades and services for owner confirmation, generate a baseline recipe, adapt the wording and order of questions and photo requests, transcribe optional voice input, extract visible photo observations, match evidence only to company-published add-on rules, classify customer email replies, and draft bounded follow-up messages. Mason does not set the company's authoritative rates, canonical pricing inputs, quantities, discount authority, or scope and does not replace the company's professional judgment.

Managed email follow-up

When enabled by a company, eligible unbooked exact quotes and price ranges may enter an automated commercial-email cadence. The messages are sent on the company's behalf using a ScopeMason-managed address, identify the company, commercial purpose, and Mason as the ScopeMason-powered quoting assistant, route customer replies to the ScopeMason-owned thread, and include the company's postal address and unsubscribe controls. A customer may unsubscribe or clearly decline further follow-up at any time.

The company authorizes ScopeMason to send and receive these messages within its settings and is responsible for providing a truthful business identity, postal address, quote and price-book information, and any event or availability reason that may be used in a message. ScopeMason does not authorize a model to invent a crew opening, cancellation, deadline, scope fact, price, or concession.

Follow-up timing does not by itself unlock a discount. Deterministic service rules require an eligible customer signal, enforce the company's configured ladder and floor, and stop or escalate at defined boundaries. The company may view the complete conversation, take over and reply from the same managed thread, pause or stop Mason, and hand control back explicitly. Sending a company-authored dashboard message pauses automation.

Quotes and contractor relationship

Trade companies, not ScopeMason, offer and perform trade services. Each company is responsible for its licenses, insurance, pricing, taxes, permits, customer communications, workmanship, warranties, site safety, scheduling, and compliance with applicable law.

An exact quote or price range is based on the submitted evidence, disclosed assumptions, active price book, confirmed service recipe, and identified scope. Hidden conditions, incorrect customer information, material scope changes, inaccessible areas, permit requirements, or conditions that could not reasonably be seen may require company review or a revised quote.

When a customer requests an option, the result is accepted pending company confirmation. It is not a booked appointment, guaranteed start date, deposit receipt, or final service contract unless the company separately confirms those terms.

An optional photo add-on is shown only when a company has published a price-book-backed rule and the service's evidence and deterministic pricing checks pass. Accepting an add-on creates a new quote revision; it does not alter the earlier revision in place or by itself book, schedule, invoice, or charge for the work. Visible-photo analysis can miss conditions and must not replace an on-site safety or professional assessment.

Safety and emergencies

Do not climb a roof, open an electrical panel, handle hazardous material, enter an unsafe area, or take another risk to complete a ScopeMason prompt. Follow the on-screen safe alternative or ask the company to review the job.

ScopeMason is not an emergency service. For gas leaks, electrical hazards, flooding, fire, medical emergencies, or immediate danger, leave the area when appropriate and contact the relevant emergency service or qualified professional.

Company accounts and data

Companies are responsible for account credentials, team members, branding, confirmed services, price books, rates, range formulas, minimums, quote validity, taxes, discount floors, published photo-add-on rules, Mason settings and instructions, legal business name and postal address, verified offer reasons, webhook destinations, and all published quote-link settings.

Companies retain ownership of the data they provide. They grant ScopeMason the limited rights needed to host, process, analyze, display, transmit, and secure that data in order to provide the service, support the account, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.

Customer submissions

Customers retain any rights they have in their submissions and grant ScopeMason and the relevant contractor the rights needed to process those submissions for the requested quote and related service inquiry.

You represent that you have permission to submit the service address, photos, measurements, job details, and personal information you provide. Do not submit illegal content, malware, unrelated sensitive information, or content that violates another person's privacy or intellectual-property rights.

Acceptable use

You may not use ScopeMason to break the law, deceive customers, generate pricing for work you are not qualified to perform, access another company or quote session, probe or disrupt the service, automate abusive traffic, evade plan limits, reverse engineer non-public systems, or upload harmful content.

We may limit or suspend access when an account or session creates security, legal, payment, operational, or abuse risk.

Subscriptions, trial, and billing

ScopeMason offers Pro and Unlimited subscriptions. Current prices, billing intervals, included seats, locations, trades, and soft quote allowances appear on the pricing and checkout pages. Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.

Pro includes one 30-day trial for an eligible verified owner and company. A valid payment method is required to start the trial, but no ScopeMason subscription fee is charged during the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the monthly or annual Pro subscription selected at checkout begins automatically and the payment method is charged the amount shown at checkout. We send a reminder before the first subscription charge. Trial eligibility is limited to one trial per verified owner and one trial per company. We may reject duplicate, transferred, or abusive trial attempts.

Unlimited does not include a trial. Its monthly or annual subscription begins, and the payment method is charged, when checkout completes.

You may cancel from the available billing controls. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current trial or paid billing period, and access continues until that scheduled end. You may restore the subscription before that date. Once a subscription has fully ended, restarting service requires a new subscription and does not automatically restart old Mason conversations.

If a renewal payment fails, ScopeMason provides 72 hours of full access while payment recovery is attempted. If payment is not recovered, the company becomes restricted. In restricted mode, account owners can sign in, view retained information, and manage billing, but cannot configure new webhooks or initiate new paid activity such as new customer quote sessions or Mason follow-up. A customer who already started a valid quote session may finish it, along with the transactional work needed to complete that session safely. Access is restored after the subscription returns to good standing.

Payment processing is provided by Stripe. Your use of Stripe-hosted checkout and billing controls is also subject to Stripe's applicable terms and privacy practices.

A quote counts when a customer first receives a customer-visible outcome. Resumes and ordinary revisions to the same lead do not create duplicate usage. ScopeMason generally provides upgrade notices at a plan's soft allowance rather than interrupting a legitimate active quote. Fair-use limits, rate limits, and manual review may apply to abuse or traffic outside ordinary contractor use.

Two-way automated email follow-up and photo upsells are Pro and Unlimited features. Accepting a photo add-on creates a revision of the same counted quote, not a second allowance event. SMS, video analysis, native CRM/FSM, scheduling, dispatch, invoicing, and payment collection are not included in the current service.

Unless an order form states otherwise, fees are non-refundable except where required by law. Taxes may apply.

Availability and changes

We work to keep ScopeMason available and reliable, but the service may be interrupted by maintenance, security work, internet issues, mapping or AI providers, storage and email providers, payment providers, or events outside our control.

We may change or discontinue features. We will try to provide reasonable notice when a material change affects an active paid subscription.

Intellectual property and feedback

ScopeMason owns the ScopeMason name, branding, software, user interface, documentation, and non-public methods. These terms do not transfer either party's intellectual property except for the limited rights needed to use and provide the service.

If you send feedback, you allow ScopeMason to use it without restriction or compensation.

Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScopeMason is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that every condition will be detected, every customer statement will be accurate, every photo will be complete, or every quote will avoid later revision.

Sales Desk accepted value and recovered-revenue reporting are operational estimates. Accepted value remains separate from recovered revenue, and a job contributes to recovered revenue only after the company marks it Won. Neither metric proves that work was scheduled, invoiced, paid, or completed.

ScopeMason is not a contractor, engineer, architect, code official, insurer, financial adviser, or law firm. Qualified people remain responsible for professional decisions and regulated work.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScopeMason is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profit, lost revenue, lost data, missed work, property damage, or business interruption.

Unless a written order says otherwise, ScopeMason's total liability for a claim is limited to the amount paid for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the service or cancel a subscription through the available account controls. Cancellation or billing restriction does not delete company configuration or history. After the subscription fully ends and unresolved Checkout or payment states are cleared, an owner can delete the company with the exact typed confirmation shown in Account & billing. Personal-account deletion is separate; an owner must first delete every company they own, while a non-owner's account deletion leaves shared company data intact. Limited billing, tax, fraud-prevention, suppression, dispute, security, and legal records may remain for the purposes and periods described in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate access for non-payment, security risk, abuse, unlawful use, or material breach.

After termination, information is deleted or retained according to the Privacy Policy, applicable law, security needs, and any written agreement.

Governing terms and changes

An applicable order form or written agreement controls if it conflicts with these online terms. Unless a written agreement specifies otherwise, governing law and venue are those applicable to the ScopeMason operator identified in the account or order documentation, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

We may update these terms. Material updates will be posted here or communicated through the service when appropriate. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
